How to Create Freedom with Values

How to live free in life is all about values and relationships.

By creating values, boundaries, rules, and building relationships you will always have a guiding light. You will also reduce your negative emotions and therefore focus on joy in your life.

Unfortunately, people do not accept it to be this simple.

Paradise is a walled garden as freedom is created within the boundaries

But before we dive in, it’s important to note that many people use these four illusions to go about their lives.

  • They think freedom has no borders.

  • They think rules limit people from truly being free.

  • They think rules are meant to be broken to have a fun life.

  • They think boundaries limit their creativity.

These mistakes are normal. I made every single one of them during my younger years. But I have learned a lot since my younger years, and I would like to help you avoid these pitfalls.

Here’s my short list of top things to focus on when setting up your life to be free.

Step 1: What values do you want to stand for?

You have to have values you can stand by.

Even if an angry mob tries to force you into their chaos.

While thinking no value is freedom it can’t be further from the truth.

To be open to everything is a scattered mindset and the opposite of focusing on something.

  • Are you to be known as a liar or an honest person?

  • Are you to be remembered as an arrogant or humble person?

  • Are you a person who follows through on a promise?

  • Are you to be an educated person or a PhD that is indoctrinated?

When you create your values that you can stick to in horrible situations.

Then you can sleep safe and sound knowing you did everything you stand for.

Step 2: Why are your values the right ones for you?

Lying to your partner might save the moment.

To some that might be sacrificing them for you to feel safe.

Here are a few reasons why.

    • Honest and respectable people protect those they love from embarrassment.

    • Dishonest people lie to protect themselves which is self-centered, narcissistic, psychopathic, Machiavellian, and sadistic.

    • Authentic people are loved and honest.

    • Your life is cut short when you are dishonest due to higher blood pressure.

According to research done by Swedish scientists on American people. Being dishonest reduces human life expectancy due to higher blood pressure.

Step 3: Why do rules or boundaries create freedom?

Rules or boundaries make people feel safe to go about their lives in harmony without the constant blood pressure inducing daily anxiety.

By writing down and carving your values into your virtual spine.

You will always know what to rely on in any given situation.

That will reduce the problems of following the herd mentality when things go from good to worse.

It will save you from sleepless nights.

Most successful people share the same values:

    • They follow their values to reduce friction in life.

    • They know how to focus by never going against their values.

    • They have mentors and other influential people who share their values.

    • They make sure their legacy is authentic and remembered as such.

But in entrepreneurship, in particular, I have noticed that the most successful people have these 2 habits in common.

    Honesty and Humility

    And here’s why:

Honesty and humility are the key traits for being perceived as authentic and genuine.

The opposite of honesty and humility is the key metric in determining if a person is a psychopath, narcissist, Machiavelli, and Sadistic.

It makes people live longer and healthier lives by lowering their blood pressure.
